Beth Mittermaier

Beth loves exploring nearby nature and helping people discover and enjoy the natural world wherever they are. While officially trained as a secondary educator, she quickly realized that teaching in outdoor, non-formal settings was a better fit for her. As a naturalist and interpreter for over 40 years, she’s taught preschoolers to senior citizens in state parks, classrooms, EE camps, and conference centers. Beth loves combining nature and art, exploring with preschoolers, writing curricula, designing interpretive signs, monitoring wildlife, creating teaching props, and developing hands-on educational kits.
